Is it necessary GOST Certificate for my products?

    R T N  ( R O S T E C H N A D Z O R )  A p p r o v a l s   :

RTN ( ROSTECHNADZOR ) Approvals required in Industry-hazardous areas, during flammable and exploitive processes and usage of related equipment and all other fields which may cause danger for human being and ecology. These Approvals give right to the Russian end-user to
start-up the mentioned equipment or facility for exploitation, also, the facility enables to connect to local energy energy (natural gas, electricity).

Shortly, RTN Approval is a kind of governmental permission to use equipment or to perform the process which is generally defined above. (Permit to Use)

RTN Approvals for Industrial Safety are provided by governmental organization "Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision" basis on the Legislation “Industrial Safety in Hazardous Industrial Facilities" No: 116-ФЗ (Federal Law) dated 21st of July, 1997.

RTN Permit to Use known as GGTN ( GOSGORTECHNADZOR ) till the 2004 year, recently carried on to the federal platform of Russia and its name changed to the RTN ( ROSTECHNADZOR ).    

Main fields which require RTN Approval :

• Valves and similar products used in Oil Industry, Rafineries and gas systems.
  

• Steam and Gas Turbines
  

• Load and Passenger Lifts, Escalators
  

• Industrial and Construction Hoists, Cranes, Elevators
  

• Air and Gas Compressors
  

• Pressure Vessels and other systems under pressure
  (Pressure >0,07mPA)
  

• All systems which is containing, producing and transporting hot steam (Temperature >115 C)
   

• Electrical and Electro-mechanical equipment which require Ex-Proof, ATEX property
  

• Special storage Units : Liquid Gas and fuel storage, other storages which contains flammable and exploitive materials
  

• Heat Generators by using gas or fuel burners in the process, high temperature resources
  

• Dangerous welding processes and related equipment
  

• All equipment which is used in Oil Industry, Rafineries
  

• Mining Industry and underground processes, relevant equipment
  

• Melting and forming processes of the metals

There is no any different type of RTN Approval. However, its content is very important and differs base on the place of the usage which is written in the application. We shall support you for issuing of the correct application.

RTN Approvals can be issued for certain equipment or combined industrial systems, or lines (facilities) overall, this situation depends on the application content.

RTN for Single Shipment/Object : This permission is provided for certain equipment, for limited quantity (which is written in the shipment documents) to a certain object, facility or project.  

RTN for Serial Production: This permission is provided for certain equipment, for unlimited quantity  to any object, facility or project in Russia.     

RTN Approval process is a long procedure, and before it, there are some prior certifications and issues should be solved beforehand; they shown below:

• GOST R Certificate, to get RTN Approval, GOST Certificate should issued as a prior Certificate. Product content will be the same in RTN Approval and GOST Certificate.
  

• Commissioning Test, according to the latest regulation which is valid from September 2008, published by "Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision", after arrival and installation of the equipment or facility will be visited by Expert and witness of Official RTN Inspector planned tests should be performed.
  

• Passports and Instruction Manuals, should be prepared for subject equipment. These information will be submitted to RTN with other documents      all together. E-marketci prepare (technical translation and re-organization) these documents as a Consultant.
  

• Very detailed technical documentation folder, should be prepared  and submitted to RTN, this work also will be performed by E-marketci Engineers.
  

• Pattern Approval (Metrology Certificate) for Measuring Equipment, should be provided by authorized bodies if they are exist on the equipment or facility. Their types, models, quantities should be defined before start the work, because many major companies already may have this certificate and if you choose such equipment, you do not have to re-issue them. • Ex-proof GOST R Certificate, also required if the working location of the equipment designed and accepted as a Hazardous Area (for Explosive atmospheres). If your Ex-proof rated equipment have ATEX Certificate, this certification problem will be solve more easier. More Information  

All of  processes which mention above can be performed in the same time. For RTN Processes, technical characteristics and engineering calculations of the product will be checked by the experts.

1. Fill our GOST R Application Form . One of our representatives will contact you as soon as possible.

2. Beside this form, detailed Technical Information is required; to identify, classify equipment and they will help us to make decision for our future actions to fulfill your work.     

3. Your commercial requirements and subject products will be evaluated and you will receive a detailed quotation including all terms, price and process steps related for your RTN Approval.

4. We shall give you a "Required Documentation List" and rest of the work depends on your effort to obtain and sending them to our engineers.
Sufficient documentary is more important than financial issues.

5. Product samples are not required in the beginning. However, very detailed technical documentation and engineering details will be asked during the process. These material will be evaluated, Passport, Instruction Manuals and Expertise Report will be prepared by E-marketci RTN experts and Engineers.

6. After our official application with all of the documents to RTN Body in Moscow on behalf of your company, this approval will be issued. 

7. Your original RTN Approvals will be sent to your postal address by fast courier.
